About Us
Our Mission
The Niagara Safety Village is a non-profit educational facility located on the Niagara College Campus in Welland, Ontario. Our mission is to create a safe and controlled environment in which to teach safety education to the residents of Niagara, with our priority population being school children.
Our Partners
We work in partnership with the Niagara Regional Police Service, Regional Fire Services, and Niagara Emergency Medical Services. Our instructors are professional emergency personnel who deliver dynamic life-saving lessons in both classroom and practical settings.
Our Facility
Our unique facility ensures that students of all ages are given the opportunity to practice what they have learned in a safe, controlled environment and will therefore retain valuable lessons once they leave the Village. The facility features a miniature village complete with roads, intersections, traffic signals, and buildings — all designed to simulate real-world safety scenarios.
Our History
Niagara Safety Village has been serving the Niagara Region since 2003. Over the years, we have educated thousands of children and community members in critical safety skills including road safety, fire safety, and emergency preparedness. Our programs continue to evolve to meet the needs of our community.
Location
We are located at 100 Niagara College Boulevard, Welland, ON L3C 7L3 on the Niagara College Campus. We look forward to welcoming you to the Village!
